Smoked Sausage and Potato Bake!!!


Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Preheat Your Oven

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a large baking dish or cast-iron skillet.

2. Cook the Sausage

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the sliced smoked sausage until lightly browned and fragrant. Remove from the pan and set aside.

3. Prepare the Potatoes

In the same skillet, add the diced potatoes, chopped onion, and minced garlic. Sauté until the potatoes are slightly softened and the onions are translucent.

4. Make the Creamy Sauce

Reduce the heat to low and stir in the heavy cream and softened cream cheese. Continue cooking until the mixture melts and thickens slightly, about 2–3 minutes. Season with thyme, salt, and pepper.

5. Assemble the Bake

Transfer the potato mixture to the prepared baking dish. Arrange the cooked sausage slices on top of the potatoes, then pour the creamy sauce evenly over everything. If using cheese, sprinkle it generously across the top.

6. Bake Until Golden

Cover the dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 10–15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.

7. Garnish and Serve

Let the bake rest for 5 minutes before serving. Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve alongside crusty bread or a simple salad for a complete meal.
